Dissemination and implementation (D&I) science studies how evidence-based interventions in health care and public health can be spread and integrated into practice. This course introduces foundational elements of D&I science and teaches the essential skills required to apply D&J methods effectively to overcome barriers to dissemination, implementation, sustainability and spread of evidence-based health care and public health programs and policies. Students will learn how to develop and evaluate solutions to overcoming barriers to implementing evidence-based interventions. The course uses case studies to provide examples of ways in which these methods can be applied in real world settings.
